Plastics Workshop
The plastics workshop at Shenkar serves as a center for learning about and experiencing materials and processes in plastics.
The workshop was founded in 1993 and is kitted out with the most advanced industrial equipment in the world: from injection molding machines, to blow molding machines and vacuum machinery. These cover all the common processing methods and work processes in the field.
The workshop serves students from the Department of Plastics Engineering, as well as advanced students from the design departments. One of the most fascinating projects carried out in the workshop was a project by Gal Shenfeld, a 2011 graduate of the Department of Fashion Design, who created a collection made of gold-plated, cast plastic and plastic sheets.

Other than providing services to Shenkar students, the workshop offers courses to people involved in the industry as well as training to professional bodies.
