Shenkar College has established itself as one of the leading educational institutions in Israel. The combination of the faculties of engineering, design and art is the basis of this unique multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary academia, allowing students and professors to connect cutting-edge technologies with contemporary creative practices.

Students currently enrolled at one of our partner institutions are welcome to apply for a semester of study at Shenkar. The students will be nominated by their home university international office. Exchange students continue to pay tuition to their home institution while visiting Shenkar.

Credit Points: ECTS Conversion Ratio

In accordance with the principles of the Bologna declaration and the prevailing approach at academic institutions in Israel, the conversion rate for Israeli Credit Points to ECTS has been set at 2:1. This ratio represents the academic principles of Shenkar, which factor in the importance of practice and implementation of knowledge through independent work in addition to the formal curricular framework that emphasizes the acquisition of theoretical, technical and technological academic knowledge.

Required Application Documents:

  • Application form
  • CV in English
  • Letter of Motivation in English
  • ID style photo (for registration purposes)
  • Copy of passport
  • Digital portfolio (website or PDF file)

Language:

We offer students a variety of courses from different disciplines that are taught in English (EMI Courses). The list of EMI Courses can be viewed HERE.

English Friendly Courses (EF Courses) - In addition to EMI courses, we offer a variety of workshops designed to be accessible to non-Hebrew speakers. These workshops, although led in Hebrew, emphasize hands-on learning, enabling students to grasp concepts through practical experience rather than solely relying on lecture-based instruction. As such, language proficiency is less crucial, and both teachers and fellow students are on hand to provide assistance, ensuring you can fully engage with the material.

Exchange students are still responsible for paying tuition fees to their home institution while studying at Shenkar, meaning there is no additional tuition fee required at Shenkar. However, it's important to note that a nominal security fee is applicable. This fee must be paid to receive your final transcript at the end of the semester.
