Emergency Procedures When an Alarm is Sounded and Choosing a Protected Space
Locations of FPS (floor protected spaces) in Shenkar (by building):
The Pernick Building
Ground Floor (0) - Textile Design and Gallery Floors: room number 019, located near the western stairs; the entire western emergency staircase - provided the doors are closed; the two classrooms further down the hall, adjacent to the FPS - Classrooms 017 and 015 also constitute a protected space. In addition, you can make your way to the bomb shelter outside (directions below).
1st floor - Management, External Studies and Chemical Engineering: Room 140 adjacent to the western stairs. Other protected spaces include the laboratory, rooms 128, 129 and the internal corridor in the Chemistry Department leading to these rooms. If you are in the corridor, stand in between the walls and not next to the openings. In addition, the western emergency staircase is also a protected space.
2nd floor - Gad Proper Auditorium, Software Engineering floor, School of Industrial Engineering and Management, plus laboratories and CIRTex: The FPS is room number 218 adjacent to the western stairs. After this, the protected spaces are Gad Proper – the small auditorium opposite the main stairs at the entrance to the floor and also the western emergency stairwell.
3rd floor - the Fashion Department: FPS room 308, the Software Engineering lab and the western emergency staircase.
4th Floor - Fashion Department: FPS room 416 and the western stairwell.
5th floor (roof) - The FPS is adjacent to the western emergency exit.
The Interior, Building and Environment Design Building (formally the library and archives), Ventura, Maintenance Department, Rose Archive, and Ceramic Workshops.
The protected space is the bomb shelter that can be accessed next to the Maintenance Department. Directions: from Interior, Building and Environment Design turn towards the archives (formally the carpentry shop/maintenance), go down the stairs and turn right.
Kadar Center (which merges with the Plastics Workshop and 3D Modeling Center), Cafeteria and Master's Degree Space (room 618).
Enter the Pernick Building, on the management floor, to the protected space in the Chemistry corridor and western emergency stairwell (white door).
Second possibility: Exit the western door of the Kadar Center, closest to the workshop building and go into the protected space in the workshop building - the interior stairwell.
Mitchell Building
Every floor in the building has its own bomb shelter, adjacent to the building's emergency staircase. Go into the floor's bomb shelter.
7th floor - rooms 2702, 2701
6th floor - room 2601 A and B
5th floor - the protected spaces are used as offices and marked with protected space signs (in Hebrew)
4th floor - rooms 2402, 2401
3rd floor - rooms 2302, 2301
2nd floor - rooms 2202, 2201
1st floor - room 2101
(-1) floor - the laboratories are used as protected spaces
(-2) floor – parking lot – serves as a protected space along with the computer room and photography room
Mezzanine floor - go up the stairs to the 1st floor bomb shelter - room 2101.
The building's ground floor (including the auditorium) and every person in the courtyard between the buildings, are all to go down to the protected spaces on floors (-1) and (-2).
Workshop Building (Department of Jewelry Design)
The building only has protected spaces located in the internal stairwell. People on the 4th floor must go down the stairs at least to the floor below. Make sure that all the doors to the floors are closed.
125 Bialik - The bomb shelter is in the parking floor. Accessed via the stairs going down.
Elite Building - The new office basement. Directions: go all the way down the main staircase.
Practical Engineers Building - The building's bomb shelter on the bottom floor serves as a protected space.
Beit Rozen - There is an open bomb shelter in the building's parking garage. Directions: go down the stairs from the lobby to the parking garage.
