Emergency Procedures
If an alarm is sounded, take the following actions:
- Every employee/student must be familiar with the protected space (FPS - Floor Protected Space) closest to him/her and the shortest and safest route there
- When an alarm is sounded walk quickly to the protected space - there is no need to run
- Follow the emergency procedure instructions issued by Home Front Command
- According to the instructions issued by the Laboratories’ Safety Officer, all sources of heat and open fire are to be extinguished and the fume-hood windows are to be pulled down (do not close the fume hoods)
- According to the instruction issued by the Workshops’ Safety Officer, all saws and other electrical equipment must be disconnected and all sources of fire and electricity for soldering and welding operations must be turned off
