Formulating the future: Innovation center ACT Shenkar led an international workshop on “Creative Leadership”
Senior figures from academia, industry, and the art and design arena in Israel participated in a forum for multidisciplinary thinking organized by the innovation center ACT Shenkar, in which they were asked to interpret and collectively define the concept of “creative leadership”.
Led by a team of experts from THNK School of Creative Leadership, Netherlands, participants of this international workshop addressed the nature and role of creative leadership in an era of changing economies.
They discussed the centrality of the concept in academia and industry, examined how it affects the familiar “rules of the game”, and how its values and principles can be leveraged to the advance of public and private sectors.
During the international workshop the participants joined multidisciplinary thinking and discussion groups in order to formulate the principles of “creative leadership” and an agreed definition for the concept on Wikipedia.
In addition to lectures by THNK experts on the importance and relevance of creative leadership, the workshop hosted a guest presentation by famous local musician and music creator Ivri Lider, who shared his journey from the time of the release of his first album and talked about the challenges that music industry is currently facing.
He trusted the audience with dreams that accompanied him since childhood, and summarized his professional path with the insight that “the ability to renew and innovate, to change and diversify is one of the most significant and important in my work and endeavor”.
