From Shenkar to MoMA: the work of Ilit Azoulay, an artist and a lecturer at the school of multidisciplinary art at Shenkar, was chosen to be featured in a prestigious exhibition by the Museum  Of Modern Art in New York City, along with 19 other artists from 14 countries. 

Using a technique that simulates a digital scan, Azoulay unites different points of view into dozens of processed images that complete some sort of map or "brain". The audio files that accompany each image in the map create a kind of list of the structures and sites she photographed during the six months Art Residency she spent in Germany. They bring up questions of the visual truth, photographic knowledge and archive. 

The exhibition, "Ocean of Images", is considered the peak of the "New Photography" series, now presented for the 30th time and considered the front line of the modern art at the MoMA. Throughout the years, the series has presented work by some of the most prominent artists in the world including Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Wolfgang Tillmans, and Rineke Dijkstra.

Azoulay has presented in exhibitions around the world including in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris (2015); the MoMA in NYC (2011); the Herzelia Museum of Art (2013); Kunstwerke in Berlin (2014), and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem (2011). Over the years she has won several prestigious awards, including the Gerard Levy prize for young photographers by the Israeli Museum (2010), the Constantiner award for photography by the Tel Aviv Museum of art and a prize from the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports (2011).
