Hexagonal Lobes, Moist Tube and Other Riddles: A New Book by Dr. Shachar Freddy Kislev, Head of the School of Multidisciplinary Art
Dr. Shachar Freddy Kislev, a riddle and game enthusiast, fondled fruits and vegetables with his eyes closed, wrote down descriptions of what he felt, and sent them to scientific illustrators from around the world. Without telling them what was being described, Kislev asked the illustrators to draw his descriptions.
The result is a funny and thought-provoking book of riddles for the whole family, based on a wildly popular exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
The book’s readers are invited to experience the process in reverse: to look at the marvelous illustrations, read the text of the riddle, and try to guess the fruit or vegetable.
Dr. Shachar Freddy Kislev is head of the School of Multidisciplinary Art at Shenkar. Born in 1982, Kislev makes art related to a diverse range of games, cinema, and technology. He also studies the history of philosophy, with a focus on the digital humanities.
Over the last two decades, Kislev has showcased his works on many prominent platforms. In 2019 and 2020 a large exhibition of his works, Games 2013-2019, was held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
