The artists have been selected for the first class of the artist-in-residence program at the School of Multidisciplinary Art

The School of Multidisciplinary Art at Shenkar is extremely pleased to announce the artists who have been selected to take part in the artist-in-residence program in the Elite Building.

Numerous proposals were submitted, and ultimately the panel of judges selected the entries submitted by Netaly Aylon, Asaf Elkalai, and Michal BarOr.

The program is intended to integrate artists in school life and to make Shenkar’s unique resources accessible to them, including workshops and state-of-the-art equipment in a wide variety of fields, access to experts and skilled assistants, and a lively academic environment.

Netaly Aylon (1987) lives and works in Tel Aviv. She sculpts, draws, and does installations. She has a bachelor’s degree in art from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. In recent years she had a solo exhibition at the artists’ workshops in Tel Aviv, and at several different group exhibitions, including at the Bat Yam Museum of Art, Petach Tikva Museum of Art, Ashdod Museum of Art, and more.

Netaly was awarded the Gruss Fund scholarship, the Young Artist Award from the Ministry of Culture and Sport, a scholarship from the Pais Council for Support of Solo Exhibitions and a Rabinovitch Foundation scholarship for special projects.
