Dr. Michal Koren

Head of School of Industrial Engineering & Management

Dr. Michal Koren is an industrial engineer and graduate of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. She specializes in fashion forecasting, management of supply chains and forecasting models. She also lectures at the School of Industrial Engineering and Management.

Dr. Koren completed her PhD at the Faculty of Administration at Bar Ilan University. As part of her doctoral thesis she is developing a mathematical model for forecasting fashion trends, while placing an emphasis on minimal costs in the supply chain and customer sensitivity to product substitutability. Prior to that, she completed her master's degree at Bar Ilan University with honors and her bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Shenkar.

Michal is deputy dean at the School of Industrial Engineering and Management.

She is member steering committee for the National Hackathon in Industrial Engineering & Management, Design and Software.

As part of her academic roles at the School of Industrial Engineering and Management, Michal teaches courses in statistics, operation research, performance analysis and business intelligence. She also lectures in her fields of expertise at Afeka College in Tel Aviv and at the Open University.
