Galia Lahav House of Couture awards excellence scholarships to students from Department of Fashion Design
Two excellence scholarships were awarded to recent graduates Nitsan Zapler and Tama Fuchs as part of the end of year fashion show at Shenkar's Department of Fashion Design.
The scholarships, worth NIS 50,000, were awarded by international fashion designer Galia Lahav, who worked with the students in the department’s course dedicated to bridal dress.
Nitsan and Tama’s final project, Utopi Shmutopi, which signed off the show, raises the question of how promising technology has become a global disaster and examines humanity's desire to conserve nature instead of belonging to it.

The Galia Lahav House of Couture has achieved international success, with stores in Tel Aviv, Los Angeles, Hamburg and some 70 points of sale around the world. In 2016, the brand was accepted into the French Federation of Haute Couture, becoming the first Israeli fashion house to be awarded this recognition.
