Dr. Rusho coordinates all graduating projects in the department, known for their engineering complexity, supervises core professional courses and lectures in many advanced courses in the department throughout the four-year program.
Dr. Rusho holds a bachelor's degree in software engineering from Shenkar (first cohort of the program), an MBA, and a PhD in the field of Information and Knowledge Management from the University of Haifa, with a specialization in Information Network Development. Today, she is involved in post-doctoral research at the Faculty of Engineering at Ben Gurion University in cooperation with the Intelligence Methodology Research Institute of the IDF and in doing so, is the first post-doctoral fellow of the AMAN (Israeli Military Intelligence). Her post-doctoral research touches on the examination of the various intelligence collection networks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Rusho wrote the popular guide to website building “HTML-5 - The Next Generation” (published by Ben-Ami) and has also written many weekly columns in "Haaretz" as well as Nana10 covering emerging technological trends online.
After two decades as a web programmer in the high-tech industry, including Microsoft and other multimedia companies, she founded and managed her own tech company for building premium online sites, made an exit, and found her vocation in teaching, research and managing the Software Engineering department, which she sees as her second home.
Dr. Rusho says:
“My roots run deep in education and teaching. I was born into a family of teachers, some of the first in Kfar Saba. I was taught that "teaching comes from the heart". I was taught that being a teacher means knowing how to listen to each student and give them the opportunity to shine. You also need to know how to inspire. From 1989 and on, the Software Engineering department at Shenkar has been my second home. I'm a graduate of the department, of the first cohort. My love and belief for this home pushes me forward. I am proud to be the head of the department, a department which is growing and on the rise. Together, we will program each dream to become reality.”
