From the judges: Avigail’s works display both curiosity and a good understanding of the field. She succeeds in enhancing photography practices and creating intimacy and closeness with her subjects both in the studio and outside it. Avigail demonstrates high motivation, creativity, investment, and a willingness to listen and learn.

Shenkar’s relationship with the Ziv family goes back many years. Lior Ziv’s mother Mimi Ziv is a senior lecturer at the Department of Fashion Design. Lior’s love of photography led him to serve in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit – service from which he never returned. While documenting a Golani Brigade operation to locate weapons in Rafah, Lior was killed in an exchange of fire. He left behind countless memories and photographs.
