The Department of Jewelry Design Visits Rakia Mission Control Room and Visitor Center

This week, students from the Department of Jewelry Design toured the Check Point Software offices – home of the Rakia Mission’s control room and visitor center – as part of the third year accessibility course taught by Uri Samet and Yael Ouliel.

The complex includes an innovative control room, the first of its kind and the beating heart of the Rakia Mission in Israel. All communications with Eytan Stibbe during his space mission take place in the control room. It is also where scientists, artists, and educators track the Israeli astronaut’s activities on the International Space Station.
