The Engineering Faculty’s 2021 Academic Excellence Award Ceremony
As Shenkar’s end-of-year celebrations came to a close, outstanding engineering students were awarded certificates of excellence for their accomplishments by President of Shenkar professor Sheizaf Rafaeli, Dean of Engineering professor Yoram Halevi, and the engineering department heads.
Rafaeli congratulated the students and stressed the importance of excellence in every discipline taught at Shenkar.
The dean of engineering, professor Yoram Halevi, introduced the Outstanding Student Seminar, a new course where leading researchers from Shenkar and other local and overseas schools will present new research on various topics. The ceremony’s attendees also got to enjoy a lecture by Technion professor Lihi Zelnik-Manor (CEO of Alibaba Israel), who shared a fascinating overview of her career path. Prof. Zelnik-Manor’s resume includes both first-in-class academic research and high-ranking industry roles in Israel and overseas. She emphasized the importance of knowledge, continuous professional growth, and personal commitment—the ingredients in the recipe for success.

95 certificates of excellence were awarded to students from all engineering departments. Alongside them, lecturers Dr. Braha-Riva Shalom (Software Engineering), Mr. Roei Zerahia (School of Industrial Engineering & Management), and Ms. Rotem Greenberg (Chemical Engineering) were awarded certificates of excellence for their outstanding work at Shenkar.
