The Clothes You See Here Are Not Real: A Digital Collection from the Fashion Design Department is being sold on the DressX website
Shenkar’s Department of Fashion Design has collaborated with the DressX internet platform for the second time to present and sell digital collections created by second-year students in the ZERO WASTE course (directed by Anna Solo and Gilly Bahat Eshkol).
The collaboration presents the works of 15 young designers who turned their life experiences, family relationships and various areas of interest into a 3D digital collection launched on the DressX platforms.
Design: Noy Salmy
Through the project, the students explored the inherent possibilities in digital design, as well as the creation of narratives that are not bound by the rules and conventions of physical fashion.
Design: Leanne Fares
Design in the digital realm allows for the creation of collections that do not require fabrics, sewing machines, measurements on models, transportation etc. Virtual fashion therefore promotes smart design planning that is based on learning traditional fashion techniques combined with advanced digital technologies, in fashion and design institutions of the 21st century.
