New at Shenkar: The Bursa Art Gallery at the School of Multidisciplinary Art
The School of Multidisciplinary Art and Shenkar are proud to announce the opening of the Shenkar Bursa Art Gallery: a unique exhibition space curated by Nira Pereg for displaying exhibitions and projects by the school’s students.
We are excited to open the gallery with the solo exhibition Glilit. This exhibition, by 21-year-old Roni Binder—a third-year student in the school from Tel Aviv—will include a sculptural and video installation.
In her first solo exhibition, Roni will display a sculptural and video installation.

Binder began creating her sculpted concrete cylinders after researching their use in Israel as infrastructure for heavy construction, and also as protective structures and bomb shelters for residents living near Israel’s southern border. Using these forms and exploring the connection between them and the human body, Binder stretches the material to its limit, displaying it moments before its collapse.
In addition to the concrete structures placed around the space, Binder offers a movement-based alternative with her video work, which documents the artist speeding along on an electric scooter next to the separation barrier—playfully provocative with her continuous movement along the giant concrete wall.
The gallery will be open to the general public (in accordance with Ministry of Health and “Purple Badge” guidelines) Sunday-Thursday, 9:00-21:00; Jabotinsky Street 8, Ramat Gan (Elite Building). The exhibition will run until April 4th.
