From Ramat Gan to the international design arena: Neta Tesler and Tamar Nicks - graduates of the Department of Textile Design - and lecturer Anna Gitelson-Kahn, were chosen to participate in Ambienta, one of the most important exhibitions in the field of product design and home styling. Their work will be presented at the Next area, dedicated entirely to promising new designers. 

Thousands of visitors from around the world, including industry executives, arrive each year to the exhibition that shows trends and innovations in the world of design. In 2015, the exhibition complex was filled with over 4,800 kiosks representing designers from 95 countries that showed their latest developments for the international market.   

The Next area usually attracts much attention since it gathers promising designers - the next generation. This is where talent scouts and buyers come, looking for unusual products and cooperation opportunities.

Hundreds of designers, studios and companies compete each year for the opportunity to participate in this category. Tesler, Nicks and Gitelson-Kahn where parts of the ones who were chosen to present.

Tamar Nicks owns an independent studio for design and development of textile products. She is a member of the "design community", a certified advisor at the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor’s counseling program and an active volunteer at Unistream organization that promotes entrepreneurship with teenagers in peripheral areas. She graduated from the Department of Textile Design in 1999 and later on completed her masters in industrial design, magna cum laude, from the Technion.

Neta Tesler owns the independent studio Knots, established after her graduation from Shenkar in 2013. The unique knotted pillows, developed during her time at Shenkar, has won her many praise and were titled "the most likable product at the Fresh Paint fair" and the honorary badge for young designers by “Binyan and Diur” magazine in Israel.

Anna Gitelson Kahn, owner of ANNA, holds an MFA in design from the leading design school RISD in Providence, U.S. where she specialized in innovative aspects of knitting. Since her graduation she uses said practices in research, development and design quality knits in her studio. Recently she launched a unique 100% Merino Knits collection that was displayed at the Periscope gallery in Tel Aviv.
