Shenkar's managment is hurt to hear about the passing of the legendary fashion designer Alber Elbaz, a graduate of the Shenkar's Fashion Design Department. Elbaz studied at Shenkar from 1982-1986 and in 2001 was appointed chief designer of the French fashion house Lanvin. In 2007 he was voted one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine. Alber served as a mentor and was a frequent guest in the fashion design department, where he greatly assisted students in working on their graduation collections.
