Last week, our International Center organized a Happy Hour to meet our international exchange students, greet our Student Ambassadors & Volunteers, and celebrate the launch of The Language Development Hub.

The Language Development Hub - A dedicated hub to develop language, communication, professional & intercultural competencies - was founded through Shenkar's International Center to foster an international outlook in academia, encourage creativity, and facilitate global mobility.

The Language Development Hub was created for:

• Students – presentation, writing, job seeking, and test preparation skills in English.
• Academic faculty – academic writing, syllabus writing, presentation skills and preparation for teaching abroad in English.
• Shenkar staff – conversational language skills in English & Arabic.
• International students – “buddying” initiative – pairing up Israeli students and exchange students as a means of facilitating a soft landing into Shenkar and Israeli culture; development of intercultural competencies.
