Associate professor Naveh Naum
Expert in polymeric materials and technologies and development of plastic, elastomeric, composite, and nano-composite components. Senior Faculty Member at Shenkar's Plastics Engineering Department. Prof. Naveh owns a D.Sc. degree (1992) cum laude, and B.Sc. (1987) cum laude from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Technion.
In the years 1992-1994, within post-doctoral work at the Faculty of Materials Engineering, Technion, he studied the behavior of immiscible multi-component polymer blends and was granted the President of Israel's Eshkol Fellowship.
In 1995 he won the Katzir Scholarship for Outstanding Young Researchers and joined Rafael - the Armament Development Authority at that time.
During 20 years in Rafael Ltd. he developed critical components for operational systems of national importance. He also held several management functions, the last being Chief Engineer of the Technology Production Plant. During a Sabbatical in 2004-2005 at the University of Toronto he investigated novel fluoropolymers for Xerox Canada.
Associate professor Naveh published scientific papers in international journals and presented his work in several international conferences.
