Prof. Eli Gimmon

Professor Eli Gimmon specializes in teaching and research in the fields of entrepreneurship and strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland (2006), an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York (1979), and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
In September 2019, Professor Gimmon completed a five-year term as Head of the Department of Economics and Management at Tel-Hai College and went on a sabbatical in China. In 2013, he founded the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at Tel-Hai College and has served as its Chair ever since.
His expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation has evolved from rich practical experience in the field, including co-founding two Israeli-American IT companies. For 13 years, he worked in project management, innovation management, corporate entrepreneurship, industrial marketing, international business, and corporate strategy at the multinational electronics company Elbit Systems Ltd.
In recent years, Professor Gimmon has been invited by the Israeli Council for Higher Education (CHE) to review and evaluate a dozen new academic programs in the fields of management and business administration. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for several leading academic journals, including Research Policy and Industrial Marketing Management.
