Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Groundbreaking Creativity: Shenkar's Board of Trustees and the Shenkar Members Club Hold a Joint Event at Shenkar's Graduate Exhibition
"Creativity is not an exclusive bonus, one unique to art. It is a necessary element of all aspects of society. It is necessary for the preservation of democracy."
- Tal Goren, co-founder of the Shenkar Members Club
Right before Shenkar's graduation exhibition closed, Shenkar's board of trustees and the Shenkar Members Club held a joint event attended by Orit Efrati, chairperson of the board.
During this festive event, the members of the board of trustees and the Shenkar Members Club came together for a shared event, where they viewed various projects on display as part of Shenkar's graduate exhibition and heard about Shenkar’s and the club's future activities.

Tal Goren, who founded the Shenkar Members Club together with Hadas Fuhrer, Gal Shenfeld and Miri Touchmair, gave an inspirational speech about the power of creativity and innovation, on full display in the exhibition, and their value in upholding progress, society and the foundations of democracy.
The club also revealed two new programs established this year that have already begun to take shape.

The first program, "Bein HaZmanim," is a joint venture between Shenkar and Impact Collections. This program was launched last March and aims to connect Shenkar alumni who are established artists with a new generation of young artists.
The goal of the program is to mentor recent graduates from the moment they leave Shenkar as they prepare for professional life and work as independent artists, strengthening the intergenerational bond.
"Bein HaZmanim" was successfully launched at the Multidisciplinary Art School and will branch out into additional departments in the future.
The second program introduced was Shenkar's Innovation Incubator, which will be open to students and alumni. The goal of the program is to provide participants with personalized mentorship and tools for growth by mentors and staff members from Shenkar.
This project is the result of a joint venture by SMC; Tomer Davidor, a student; and Roei Zerahia, a senior faculty member at Shenkar. The program is being funded by the generous donations of Ms. Susan Pernick and Ms. Alice Gottesman, both members of Shenkar's board of trustees. The project is set to launch later this year.
Later in the evening, the guests viewed a number of chosen projects in Shenkar's graduate exhibition and heard firsthand about different projects created by students in the design and engineering faculties.
The event was attended by Shenkar's senior management, Zvi Yemini, chairman of the Executive Committee; professor Sheizaf Rafaeli, president of Shenkar; Yonatan Even Tov, CEO of Shenkar; professor Terry Schreuer, dean of the Faculty of Design, and Yoram Halevi, dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
The annual board meeting took place earlier in the week, where notable events from the previous year were presented, such as the new international academic collaborations with universities in Morocco, Bahrain and more. Future Shenkar projects were also discussed.
